Jackie Chan wins Kids' Choice Award
2011's Favorite Buttkicker Award goes to Jackie Chan for The Karate Kid

On April 2, 2011, Nickelodeon's 24th Annual Kids' Choice Awards was held at the Galen Center at USC. Jackie Chan won for Favorite Buttkicker, beating Robert Downey Jr., Will Ferrell, and Steve Farrell. The Karate Kid also won for Favorite Movie. This is the second time Chan has been awarded a “buttkicker” award. He also was chosen as Favorite Male Action Hero in 2002 and 2003. As a martial arts actor, Jackie Chan is very popular amongst youth.
A remake of the 1984 film, 2010's The Karate Kid is about a young boy (Jaden Smith) who moves to China with his mother and faces some bullying. He meets a kung fu master (Jackie Chan), learns kung fu from him for self-defense, and later enters a tournament. The film was a huge box office success, as it earned $358 million worldwide.
