Taking place at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center on Saturday, April 23, We Are One Island will be "an evening of honoring, remembrance and hope" as the event is not only a fundraiser for the March 13th earthquake that hit Northern Japan.
Hosted by emcee Kara Tsuboi (In-Game Host for the Oakland Athletics), the night will open up with a traditional ceremony led by the Buddhist Church of Oakland, followed by a slideshow of damage hit in critical areas of Japan.
