A Chinese Film Festival is set to launch in Myanmar (Burma), and screenings will take place both in the former capital Yangon and the new capital Nay Pyi Taw. The festival has been launched under the cultural exchange program between China and Myanmar.
Five Chinese films -- Walking to School, Bodyguards and Assassins, Jing Tian Dong Di, Confucius and Sky Fighters -- will be screened. This continues a tradition of cooperation between China and Myanmar, as each country promotes each other's works. Films from Myanmar such as Master of Flowers, Hearts of the Givers, and Mystery of the Snow Story have participated Chinese film festivals since 2001.
