After wrapping up the West Coast leg of their 2011 US Tour, Aziatrix will begin their East Coast leg on November 9 with stops in Boston, Stony Brook, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York City. Previously, the trio had four California shows in Los Angeles at the Bootleg Theater (November 3), MyHouse (November 4), The Loft at UCSD in San Diego (November 6), as well as a Midwest stop in between at Myth in St. Paul (November 5). They will finish up the West Coast portion of their tour with a show in Slims in San Francisco (November 7).
In an effort to reward their fans, the "Aziaddicts," the band have been giving away a pair of tickets for each city it hits.
Aziatix's debut album Nocturnal was released on July 2011. Six songs are available on iTunes, including the popular “A Game,” and the album has hit the top ten for the iTunes R&B/Soul charts.
Produced by Jae Chong (who has previously worked with JYJ, BoA, and Jolin Tsai), the boy band is made up of vocalists Nicky Lee and Eddie Shin, as well as rapper Jay "Flowsik" Pak. Lee was previously awarded the "Best Male Singer" award at the 2007 Golden Melody Awards and has released five solo albums. Shin, who's studied music at NYU, has also released a solo album, Just My Way, and co-wrote/produced "Let's Go" for South Korea's G20 Summit. Pak has worked with Ice-T and JYJ. After much individual success, the group came together in 2010. According to the group's website, Aziatix was the first Asian American group to be featured on AOL. Their debut EP, Aziatix, which came out earlier this year, hit #4 on the iTunes R&B charts.
